MC X4 is a game of strategy for 2 to 4 players on the same chessboard.

As in Chess, the aim of the game is to capture the rival king but also to designate the best player or the best team.

In MCX4, the queen can survive the disappearance of the king.

There are 2 clans on each side, one white, one black.
In each team, the king’s clan and the queen’s one play with their own pieces.

There are 2 ways to play MCX4

• Singles : a draw designates each of the 4 clans.

In this form of the game, the queens do not sacrifice themselves for the benefit of their king. Alliances can be decided according to each situation and multiple strategies can be developed between the four players on the same chessboard.

• Doubles : a team game of whites against blacks.
  This is a game of strategic alliances and collective intelligence requiring one player on each side to sacrifice his clan for the benefit of his team. The critical point is for the two members of each team to decide the best moment in the game to sacrifice which member with his clan. This particular move exists in the chess game when a player sacrifices his queen, whereas here, the decision will be taken by the two players of each team.

The alternative

There is of course the option of playing singles, individually, one player against another. In this case, the possibilities offered by the opening of chess will be abandoned, enabling the development of individual strategies ; enjoy discovering the complexities of this other game form.
